Directly opposite the end of the road was a lodge house for the old Poltalloch estate, and the ruins could be seen ahead on the higher ground. The facade is still elegant but the interior has many trees growing, peeping out of the windows, as nature reclaims the ... We carried on our leisurely stroll down more straight roads towards Barsloisnoch, where there are some fine farm buildings, stables, sheds etc. It looks a bit dishevelled and would make a great holiday home. ...
